This is fabulous! What skill in learning the dances from the 17th and 18th centuries! The dance notatation must be quite complex (I'm guessing the notation includes hand and arm movement(?) I think those dress hemlines would have been considered daring if not scandalous because ladies' feet were not supposed to be seen.

Those who grieve about frailty of human existence in this joyful federal holiday, may be consoled with a beautiful baroque dance: "Folie d'Espagne pour femme" published by the French dancer Raoul Auger Feuillet in 1700 (Paris), probably, 16 February, when the USA did not exist at all. That was performed inside Menshikov Palace in St. Petersburg exactly 3 years ago. - Let's Celebrate Presidents Day!
